The Ascension Team was out en masse at this year’s Triangle Game Conference in Raleigh, NC. We met tons of awesome people including great folks from Ten Ton Hammer, Epic Games, The Escapist, Independent Games Magazine, Insomniac, Icarus Studios, Republic of Fun, the Triangle Games Initiative, and various folks and freelancers of an equally exceptional magnitude.

We had a blast sharing our demo with the community. We’re guessing that somewhere between 600-900 people got to play, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Check out our photos from TGC.

If you missed your chance to play the demo, check it out here on our website. John and Zach’s talks from TGC will also be posted in our videos section, so you can check those out if you missed them as well.

Looking forward to TGC ’11.

Get ready to blow up some Kj'hal! Our online demo is live, now with bigger, badder drones. Take flight in the Martian light fighter and give us your feedback by leaving your comments on our Facebook wall or on our Forums. We encourage everyone to give it a try and to spread the word, and thanks for being one of the first to experience Ascension.

Digital Roar Studios is proud to present the new and improved Ascension War: Triumvirate website.

Ascension is a fast paced, sci-fi, online, PvP space flight shooter currently in development. Combining the freedom of exterior flight in vast environments with the intensity of tightly packed interior spaces, it will take skill, patience, and lighting fast reflexes to pilot your faction to victory.

You can choose to fight for one of three factions: the psionically gifted Earth Empire, the technologically driven Mars Colonies, or the alien Kj'hal and their biomechanical fleet.

The scope of the Ascension is truly epic. The conflict between the struggling factions stretches across space and time from a dangerous and unknown sector of the universe billions of years ago, to thousands of years into our future, when being born on Mars makes you more human than being born on Earth.

We’ve created many ways for you to be involved in the Ascension community. Your input is extremely important to our development. We sincerely look forward to building and working with you, the community, as Ascension evolves.

Follow the Ascension War Facebook page for more news and announcements on major website updates. This page will also feature some early releases of screenshots and other media before it hits the web.

You can also visit our forums to discuss Ascension gameplay and development in greater detail, or become a fan of Digital Roar on Facebook for company news, conference photos, and more.

The key to becoming a great pilot is understanding and mastering your ship. As a pilot in Ascension, you may choose from one of four ship types to discover which best compliment your style. Choose between the nimble light fighter, the dependable medium fighter, the brutish heavy fighter, or the supporting engineer. Each has its own unique strengths and weaknesses that could save your team from destruction.

Coming to a theatre near you!

Work begins today on Ascension War, a full-length stageplay set in the Ascension universe. The play, by Digital Roar’s own Kevin Human, was one of six plays selected to participate in the 2010 WordBRIDGE Playwrights Laboratory.

WordBRIDGE is an interdisciplinary laboratory that “seeks to empower pre-professional playwrights to achieve the next level of craftsmanship through collaboration with seasoned professionals from around the world.” Over the years, WordBRIDGE has helped shape many scripts that have gone on to become successfully produced plays, and we hope that Ascension War will one day be counted among them.

Ascension War is a space opera. It takes us from the cellblocks of an interplanetary prison to…
